PADI Tec 60 CCR
The PADI Tec 60 CCR Course is an intermediate-level technical diving program using a Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR).
This advanced course trains divers to conduct Trimix decompression dives to depths of up to 60 meters, developing the skills needed to operate CCR systems safely and efficiently during long-duration, multi-stage decompression dives in complex environments.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is designed for divers who hold a PADI Tec 40 CCR certification.
Participants should have a solid understanding of Enriched Air (EANx) and Trimix theory, and hold a certification equivalent to PADI Advanced Nitrox or higher.
A minimum of 50 logged dives is required, including at least 10 CCR dives.
Applicants must be healthy adults aged 18 or older.
Course Duration
The course typically runs for 5 to 6 days.
Training includes theory sessions, equipment configuration workshops, confined-water training, and a minimum of six open-water CCR dives.
The program covers CCR Trimix setup, decompression planning, and realistic problem-management scenarios.
What Will You Learn?
You will learn how to safely conduct Trimix CCR dives to depths of up to 60 meters.
Training focuses on planning and executing multi-stage decompression dives using CCR systems.
You will master both manual and automatic oxygen control systems, including backup procedures.
The course also covers safe calculation and analysis of helium-based gas mixtures, proper MOD setting, and advanced gas management techniques.
Significant emphasis is placed on responding to electronic system failures, rescue strategies, and maintaining operational stability in demanding environments.
What Do You Need to Bring?
An approved CCR unit (JJ-CCR) is required.
You must bring a Trimix analyzer, CCR-compatible dive computer, surface marker buoy (SMB), and an underwater slate.
Backup equipment such as regulators, mask, and timer is mandatory.
You must also provide your logbook, medical clearance, and Tec 40 CCR certification.
Swimsuit and reef-safe sunscreen are required.
Some equipment may be rented, but certain CCR-specific items must be personally owned.
What Can You Do After Completion?
After completing the course, you will be qualified to conduct multi-stage decompression dives to depths of up to 60 meters using CCR and Trimix.
You will be able to operate CCR systems with confidence even in deep and complex environments.
Graduates are eligible to progress to advanced programs such as PADI Tec 100 CCR or PADI Trimix CCR Instructor training.
This course prepares you to perform at a professional level in challenging environments such as exploration diving, deep wrecks, and cave systems, where precision and control are critical.
